======================= JeffNEWS, July 12, 1994 ======================= Health Management Diversity Institute Brings Summer Administrative Intern to Jefferson -------------------------------------------- Marc Thompson has come to Jefferson Hospital as a summer administrative intern through the 12-week Summer Enrichment Program of the Institute for Diversity in Health Management. The institute aims to improve and increase healthcare management opportunities for minorities and women through internships, classroom learning and field trips, participation in a structured project and preparation for standardized admissions tests to healthcare management programs. While at Jefferson, Mr. Thompson works closely with F. Kenneth Ackerman III, executive associate to the senior vice president for healthcare administration and hospital chief executive officer, Thomas J. Lewis. Mr. Thompson, who hails from Orlando, just received his MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of South Florida (USF), where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and was a member of Pi Gamma Mu National Honor Society.
