Women’s Health Source –
Women’s Health Source (WHS) is a Jefferson Health System member hospital initiative dedicated to improving the quality of life for women of all ages in our community. Located in Suite 1990 of the Gibbon Building at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, the center provides easy access to prevention and wellness programs, educational resources, social services, and research. Stop by Women’s Health Source and learn about the center’s services.
The center includes a lending library with over 400 books, pamphlets, brochures, journals, and videos on numerous women’s health and related topics. Visitors can access information with a CD-ROM library or explore recommended Internet sites through state-of-the-art computers, partake in a therapeutic massage or utilize our fully equipped lactation lounge. Educational sessions led by expert speakers are offered several times each month on a variety of healthcare and lifestyle topics for women. The center also serves as a valuable link to medical services and practitioners within the Jefferson Health System member hospitals and is staffed by a registered nurse available for on-site, private consultations.
Recently Women’s Health Source sponsored its Second Annual Women’s Health Retreat at the Philadelphia Marriott West Hotel in West Conshohocken. The overnight winter retreat allowed women the opportunity to focus on their physical, emotional, and spiritual well being while attending lectures by physicians and other professional experts, interactive workshops and exercise and pampering sessions.
Women’s Health Source at Jefferson is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m to 5:30 p.m. For more information about WHS, call 955-1208.
