Celebrate Black History Month in February
The Dixie Hummingbirds, Gospel Music’s original gentlemen of song, will perform at Jefferson on Friday, February 4, 2000 at 7 p.m. in McClellan Hall. Internationally recognized as the pioneers of gospel music, the Grammy award winning Dixie Hummingbirds are the oldest gospel singing group in the world. The Hummingbirds began in 1928 and have graced some famous stages, including the Apollo Theater, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall and the Newport Jazz Festival. On February 4, 2000 they will grace ours!

Seating is limited so reserve your tickets early in the Activities Office, Room B-100, Jefferson Alumni Hall, 215-503-7743.

JMC Hosts ‘A Celebration of International Health’ Jan. 14-16
Jefferson Medical College will host “A Celebration of International Health,”the 6th annual convention of the United States of America International Health Program (USA-IHP), January 14-16, at the Bluemle Life Sciences Building.

USA-HIP is the USA National Affiliate of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations.

Speakers will come from numerous countries, and will include a number of Jefferson faculty members. Also attending will be medical students from more than 13 countries and representatives from several international organizations.
