John Ditunno Jr., MD, left, Director of the Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center of Delaware Valley at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine, Jefferson Medical College (JMC) of Thomas Jefferson University, and Alexander Vaccaro, MD, Co-Director of the Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center, and Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, JMC, meet actor Christopher Reeve at a dinner honoring Dr. Ditunno for his valuable work in the field of spinal cord research. Sponsored by the Geoffrey Lance Foundation, the dinner helped raise funds for spinal cord injury research. Former Philadelphia Mayor Edward Rendell and Philadelphia 76ers President Pat Croce were Co-Chairmen of the event.
