College of Health Professions to Present Honorary Degree to Rosemarie Greco at May 12 Commencement
The Class of 2000 totals 355 graduates, including 332 bachelor of science degree recipients, 13 post-baccalaureate certificate recipients in the laboratory sciences and 10 associate degree graduates from General Studies. Jack Farber, Chairman of Jefferson’s Board of Trustees, will confer the Honorary Doctor of Science on Rosemarie Greco, an accomplished leader in the Greater Philadelphia business and civic community. During her tenure with CoreStates Bank, it was ranked as one of the most profitable banks within its peer group, and it was the 18th largest bank in the United States when Ms. Greco left her position. Her commitment to Philadelphia is apparent through her activity on various boards and as a leader for many local and state organizations. University President Paul C. Brucker, MD, will confer the student degrees. CHP Dean Lawrence Abrams, EdD, will address students and their families and present the Student Life Award. CHP Senior Associate Dean Linda G. Kraemer, PhD, will be the Grand Marshal. Of the baccalaureate degree graduates, 179 are in nursing, 41 in occupational therapy, 48 in diagnostic imaging and 19 in the laboratory sciences of biotechnology, cytogenetic technology, cytotechnology and medical technology. Among the graduates are 45 physical therapy students who will complete their combined BS-MS degree program during the summer. |
