$252,703 Represents a Lot of Giving
"It took a lot of generosity and extra hard work to bring
Jefferson to $252,703, or 91.8 percent, of our $275,000 United Way goal,"
said the 1995 United Way chair, Rebecca O'Shea, hospital administrator for
clinical programs. "To all of you who gave so much of yourselves to
make the campaign as successful as it was, our heartfelt thanks," Ms.
O'Shea said.
"Sometimes it takes even more effort to reach part of your goal than
to 'clear the hurdle' easily. I believe that this year was one of those
times and salute the hundreds of campaigners, bankers, cabinet members,
contributors and others who were involved in the campaign," she said.
