Primary-Care Day October 10
The third National Primary-Care Day, Thursday, October 10, will
feature a guest speaker from Harvard Medical School and four careers panels
conducted by Jefferson faculty for students.
Stephanie J. Woolhandler, MD, MPH, FACP, Associate Professor of Medicine,
Harvard Medical School, will present "Universal Health Care in the
Corporate Era" at Family Medicine Grand Rounds in 105-07 Bluemle Building
at 9:15 a.m., and at the "Doctor in Health and Illness" Lecture
for first-year students at Brent (Mezzanine) Auditorium at Jefferson Alumni
Hall at 1 pm.
Four noontime primary-care careers panels, will be held at Jefferson Alumni
Student posters and other displays of primary-care research and resources,
including Internet sites, will be set up on the mezzanine of Jefferson Alumni
