Scullion, at May 16 Commencement
Jefferson's College of Health Professions (CHP)
will award honorary degrees to David C. Broski, PhD, Chancellor,
University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), and Sister Mary
Scullion, RSM, co-founder and current president of Project
H.O.M.E., at Commencement Exercises on Friday, May 16 at 10:30
a.m. at the Academy of Music.

Set for Thursday, May 29, at Academy of Music
Usually held during the first week of June, this year's
commencement is a week earlier because of the Academy of Music's
renovation schedule

Research Program Gaining National Visibility
Cancer care researchers at the Kimmel Cancer
Center at Jefferson are taking steps to involve minority and
underserved populations in Philadelphia in planning studies that
may lead to the discovery of ways to reduce the burdens of
cancer.

Fund: Barry Green Continues Longtime Support
With a recent donation of $10,000 to the Stroke
Center for research, Barry Green has added to a long history of
assistance to Jefferson Medical College and to Thomas Jefferson
University Hospital. In appreciation of his generous gifts,
Jefferson has awarded him the gold-headed physician's cane
recognizing him as a new Fellow of Thomas Jefferson University.
