JHS Now Providing Assisted Living and Long Term Care to Friends Life Care at Home
Jefferson Health System (JHS) has entered into an agreement with Friends Life Care at Home (FLCAH), Blue Bell, Pa., to provide assisted living and skilled nursing care services to FLCAH members, announced Barry Rabner, Vice President of Non-acute Services for JHS.
Friends Life Care at Home, a nonprofit Quaker organization founded in 1985, provides lifetime support for its members to help older adults live at home with dignity and independence for as long as possible. If independent living or home care is no longer an option, Friends Life Care provides for assisted living or nursing home care.
"We are pleased to provide Friends members access to the
700 long- term care beds and
100 assisted living beds currently within the Jefferson Health
System," said Mr. Rabner. "Entering into this agreement
with such a fine organization also expands our opportunity to
serve the senior population, with the right level of care, in the
right setting, at the right time."
"While our goal is to keep people at home as long as possible, we want to be prepared to provide our members with the highest quality skilled nursing and assisted living care, if the need arises," said Carol Barbour, President of Friends Life Care at Home.
