 Hilary Koprowski, MD,
Director, Center for Neurovirology, Thomas Jefferson University, and Professor, Department
of Microbiology and Immunology, Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University,
left, received two awards on a recent trip to Poland. First, the President of Poland,
shown above, honored Dr. Koprowski with the title of Commander of the Great Cross of Merit
with the Star, one of the highest awards given by the country. During his sojourn to
Poland, Dr. Koprowski also received an honorary degree of Doctor of Medicine from the
Academy of Medicine in Poznan. Dr. Koprowski is also attended the first Hilary Koprowski
Lecture presented by Professor Thierry Boon in New Delhi, India at the International
Congress of Immunology. |
