The Scott Gallery is now exhibiting wildlife and cityscape photography of Alain Mauviel, PhD, Associate Professor of Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology, Jefferson Medical College.
A native of Normandy, France, Dr. Mauviel grew up by the sea on the migration route of birds, so it is not surprising that birds are among his favorite subjects. He has photographed their beauty at locations ranging from New Jersey and Delaware to the Galapagos Islands and Cotacachi in Ecuador.
Dr. Mauviel's work also includes seascapes, tropical flowers and city scenes ranging from a teeming marketplace in Seoul, Korea, to a sunny New Orleans street, to a night-time view of 30th Street Station crowned by a luminescent moon.
The Scott Gallery, on the sixth floor of the Scott Building, welcomes art and photogaphy work from all Jefferson employees. To learn how you can display your work, call Julie S. Berkowitz, University Art Historian, at 3-5368.
