LastWordŽ Goes Live January 23

LastWordŽ, the clinical information system replacing CORE, will go live Saturday, January 23, 1999. Training has taken place during the last several months and will continue this month for physicians, residents and medical students. Hospital staff will also participate in LastWordŽ training “refresh” sessions planned by their departments.

Although training for physicians is not mandatory, all attendings, house staff and medical students must pick up sign-on information to access LastWordŽ. Sign-ons and training will be available during the following times:

Physician Sign-on Information
East Atrium
January 11 through January 22 (except Sunday)
7 a.m. to 7p.m.

Physician Training

1960 Gibbon
January 11 through January 22 (except Sunday)
6 a.m. to 9 a.m. or 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Physician Lounge
January 11 through January 22 (except weekends)
11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Hospital Staff
During the first week of January, a series of meetings will be held with LastWordŽ superusers, trainers and key department personnel to review department plans for “refresh” training and to review go-live preparation.
