TJU Celebrates Anniversary with Party on Scott Plaza

anniv1.jpg (46156 bytes)Music, balloons, a DJ, raffles and other fun-filled activities will set the stage for Thomas Jefferson University’s Anniversary celebration on Wednesday, September 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Scott Plaza. All Jeffersonians are invited to the event commemorating the 175th Anniversary of Jefferson Medical College, the 30th Anniversary of the College of Graduate Studies and the 30th Anniversary of the College of Health Profession.

The festive lunchtime event sponsored by the Commons Board and Activities Office will feature welcoming remarks by University President Paul C. Brucker, MD, a special anniversary cake and soda, and Jefferson’s a cappella groups – the Histones and Arrythmia. In addition, lunch and other snacks will be available to purchase or bring a brown bag lunch to enjoy on Scott Plaza. In the event of rain, the celebration will be held in Jefferson Alumni Hall on the Mezzanine.

So that all Jeffersonians will have an opportunity to celebrate these milestones, the Anniversary event will also include early morning donuts and coffee from 6 to 7:30 a.m. and anniversary cake and beverage from 6 to 8 p.m.in the 10th Street seating area of the Atrium in the Gibbon Building.
