Carmen Sultana, MD, Assistant Professor, Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University and Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, was among the 19 graduates who were first to complete the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO)/Solvay Pharmaceuticals’ Educational Scholars Development Program. The graduates were honored at the annual APGO/Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology in San Diego. The program focuses on helping Obstetrics and Gynecology professors teach women’s health more effectively. Program participants were selected from applicants nationwide who have demonstrated a commitment to women’s health.

Galina Mindlin, MD, PGYIII, Resident, Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior, Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University, recently had results of a study comparing atmospheric pressure and panic attacks published in Allure magazine.

Peter J. Savino, MD, Professor of Ophthalmology, Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University, was a visiting professor at Wayne State University, Kresge Eye Institute. While on campus, Dr. Savino spoke about "Common Ophthalmologic Problems Encountered by the General Ophthalmologist."

Michael Mooreville, MD, Instructor of Urology, Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University, recently had URAMIX, Inc., the company he founded, entered into the Benjamin Franklin New Technology award competition for emerging companies.
