Stanton N. Smullens, MD, Named Chief Medical Officer of the Jefferson Health System
A new senior staff position at the Jefferson Health System, Chief Medical Officer, has been filled with the appointment of Stanton N. Smullens, MD.
Dr. Smullens also is President and Medical Director of the Jefferson Health Network.
In his new role, Dr. Smullens is responsible for developing and maintaining a consistently high quality clinical agenda across the System. He also will take a lead role in clinical coordination.
Dr. Smullens chairs both the JHS quality Council and the Physician Advisory Council.
He also will be active in the development of education programs for physicians, and work with each member organizations Vice President of Medical Affairs.
