Health Insurance Information
Health insurance is required for all medical students at Jefferson Medical College, and is offered through United Healthcare. If you are currently covered under an existing plan, you may request to waive the insurance.
Whether you elect the United Healthcare insurance or would like to request a waiver, every student MUST complete the online enrollment/waive process. The plan brochure and the online enrollment/waive are available in July at First Student. Please contact the Office of Student Affairs and Career Counseling at (215) 503-6988 for questions.

Dental Insurance
Optional dental insurance is available through Delta Dental. Plan details and the enrolment form are available below.
You will need Adobe Acrobat™ software to complete the fillable PDF enrollment form. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat™ software on your computer, you may download it FREE from the Adobe at: http://get.adobe.com/reader/
- Complete the highlighted fields:
— An ID card will be mailed to the address indicated on the form
— If you are electing family coverage, be sure to list your dependents
— Type your name in the signature field then
Click 'SUBMIT' - Click … 'A new digital ID I want to create now'
- Where would you like to store digital ID?
Click … 'New PKCS#12 digital ID file' - Enter the following info only:
Your First and Last Name
Organization Name
Email Address
Leave everything else alone
Click 'OK' - Choose a password; then confirm password
- To Sign Data you must type in your password.
Click 'SIGN' - The following message will appear …
XML signature created successfully - Select an email option – this depends on which email application you use:
Desktop — Click this option if you use Microsoft Outlook, Eudora, or Mail
Internet — Click this option for all other applications
Click 'OK' - An email will appear on your screen with your enrollment form attached.
Click 'SEND'
