For further information contact: Elaine.Yuen@jefferson.edu

The Center is working with clinicians in the Department of Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Albert Einstein Medical Center to develop a multidisciplinary approach to caring for sickle cell patients in Philadelphia. This program will improve the clinical management of the patients in the home, office, emergency room and hospital settings; improve the ability to evaluate the psychosocial needs of patients and increase the capacity to provide services to address those needs; and develop the capacity to assess the vocational skills of patients and develop a program to address skill deficiencies.
