Member Forms & Membership Application

The Jefferson Vaccine Center (JVC) is accepting membership applications for individuals who are actively involved in vaccine-related research. Our mission is broad, and includes, but is not limited to, basic (biochemistry, immunology and microbiology) and clinical (infectious diseases and public health) research areas. Based on requirements stated in the Jefferson Vaccine Center Membership Guidelines, you should posses a unique mix of experience, skills and peer review funding that supports the Center in the area a vaccine research.

Membership in the Vaccine Center is for a one-year renewable term and there is no membership fee, however, active participation is expected and not all applicants are guaranteed membership. The Jefferson Vaccine Center Membership Application Form, an NIH-style Biosketch and a short outline of your interest in the area of vaccines (restricted to 250 words or less) should be submitted to Andrea Cherenack by latest January 15th. The JVC Committee Board will meet and make their final decision on acceptance shortly after that date.

New Funding for JVC Members

Dr. McGettigan, was awarded a four-year $1.5 million R01 grant from the NIH to extend his exciting work on the development of a novel, safe, and effective rabies virus vaccine.

Dr. David Abraham received a five year R01 grant to study the development of a recombinant vaccine against human onchocerciasis.
