The Hematology Division also has responsibilities for the large blood banking and pheresis operations of Thomas Jefferson and affiliated hospitals. We also offer a Transfusion Medicine Fellowship program (one-year), fully accredited by the ACGME. We accept fellows who would be eligible for board certification by the American Board of Pathology upon successful completion of our Fellowship. (This usually means training in Pathology or Hematology).
