Research and Clinical Interests
My main interest is human antibodies that bind infectious pathogens and cancer cell markers. My lab has been collaborating with Eugene Kennedy, MD and Jonathan Brody, PhD of Surgery to develop a project to clone human antibodies that bind to pancreatic cancer cells. Similarly, my lab has worked with Dr. Takami Sato to analyze the antibody immune response that can occur in melanoma patients and is directed at melanoma cancer cell line antigens. Membership in the JVC will facilitate collaborations with others involved in vaccine research. It will enable the parallel study of the T-cell and B-cell immune responses to different vaccines and immunizing stimuli.
