The NRMP is the program that eventually matches you to your residency program. This is separate than ERAS, which is an application process.

Registration for the NRMP begins on August 15, 2005 . The registration fee is $40 and must be made at the time of the registration electronically using a credit card or personal check. You will be required to provide an email address. A copy of the memo from them is included in this booklet.
Directory: The NRMP Directory for the 2006 MATCH will be posted to the Website http://www.nrmp.org in September and will be updated weekly thereafter.
Deadline: December 1, 2005 is the deadline for applicant registration to the NRMP. It will be possible to register for the NRMP until January 31, 2006 but you will pay an additional $50 late fee.
Rank Order Lists: Applicants and residency program directors can enter their Rank Order Lists (ROL) using the Rank Order List Input Confirmation System (ROLIC) via the Web using your NRMP applicant code and your confidential password. - Check out “How the Matching Algorithm Works”,
- Join Dr. Pohl for a workshop on Rank Order Lists in late January 2006
- There is no magic number on how many programs to rank, but if you would rather be at a program than “not matched”, you should rank that program.
Deadline: You can make changes to your ROL whenever you want, but it must be certified and finalized by 11:59 p.m. , February 22, 2006.
Match: On Monday, March 13, 2006 , at noon , you will be able to connect to the NRMP website at http://www.nrmp.org and find out if you are matched, but you will not be able to find out to which specific program you have matched. Unmatched students should contact the Office of Student Affairs and Career Counseling in the afternoon of March 13, 2006 for guidance on how to proceed. Results of the NRMP will be released to students on Thursday, March 16, 2006 , 12:00 noon (Eastern Standard Time).
