A strong drug development program, with ample input from fellows in training is the basis for an exceedingly strong residency program and postdoctoral research-training program. Attracting the best trainees will be to the University’s best advantage – laying the groundwork for future collaborations and a potential source of future attending physicians and cancer researchers. Furthermore, we will run a competitive summer research program for Jefferson medical students. We will establish training and mentoring program with protected research time for new clinician/scientist recruits who are interested in pursuing basic tumor biology questions with the aim of furthering novel developments within the specialty of Radiation Oncology.
