Research
The Interventional Radiology Division is involved in a variety of research endeavors. Briefly, members of the division have recently participated in a number of federally funded trials evaluating:
- Immunoembolization of Metastatic Uveal Melanoma
- Treatment of Peripheral Vascular Disease
- Thermal Ablation of Painful Skeletal Metastases
In addition to the above, other active prospective trials include projects evaluating outcomes in Interventional Oncology, currently focusing on but not limited to:
- Radioembolization of Hepatocellular Carcinoma with SIRSpheres
- Use of Drug Eluting Beads for Chemoembolization
- Treatment of Metastatic Uveal Melanoma with SIRSpheres
Other projects reviewing outcomes in Interventional Oncology are ongoing.
