Services Offered

in addition to standard X-ray Exams:

Wrist Arthrogram Arthrography and Diagnostic/Therapeutic Joint Injection/Aspiration
Arthrography can be combined with CT or MRI. For suspected joint infection, aspiration can be performed. For painful joints anesthetic and steroid can be injected. This technique can also be used if it is unclear whether pain is from the joint.

Cartilage Flap of knee MRI MRI
We have many scanners available to accommodate patient needs and comfort, including 3 Tesla high field and open scanners.

Advanced Sports ImagingMRI of Athletic Pubalgia in NFL player — We have pioneered imaging diagnosis of many athletic injuries

Dynamic ContrastWrist scaphoid fracture with partial healing. — This can be used to evaluate th vascularity of bone and soft tissues (e.g. for AVN, tumors an devitalization).

3D CT of ankle tendons Multidetector CT
Multidetector CT (MDCT) markedly improves quality of images, while reducing metal artifact. MDCT is excellent for visualization of bones and soft tissues; 3D images can be obtained.

Hip CT Arthogram CT Arthrography
This is especially useful when there is metal in the region which limits effectiveness of MRI, or when the patient has a contraindication for MRI.

Indirect MR Arthogram of knee -- osteoarthritis MR Arthrography
Contrast can be injected directly into the joint (direct MR arthrograhy) or given intravenously, diffusing over time into the joint (indirect MR arthrography)

Finger Rheumatoid Arthritis MSK Ultrasound Imaging & Procedures
We are one of the few centers in the country to provide a full range of diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound. Ultrasound is an effective guide for procedures such as injection / aspiration of joints, bursas, ganglion cysts, and tendon sheaths; treatment of tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, calcific rotator cuff tendinitis and other chronic conditions.

Nuclear Medicine
(service provide by the Nuclear Medicine Division)

Includes DEXA, PET scan, PET-CT, bone scan (whole body/three phase), Gallium scan, labeled WBC

Disc herniation at L5-S1; injection elicited the patient's typical pain Discography
This procedure can be used in planning spine surgery in order to determine which disc is the actual pain generator.

Vertebroplasty Vertebroplasty
Vertebroplasty can be used for treatment of osteoporotic compression fractures as well as other pathology. The cement can stabilize the vertebral body against further collapse and reduced associated pain in 90% of patients within 24-48 hours.

Lumbar Spine Biopsy Bone/Soft Tissue Biopsy
We have extensive experience in performing safe, pain-free biopsy of bone and soft tissue lesions and suspected infection. We utilize conscious sedation and imaging guidance to provide patient comfort while accurately localizing the biopsy site and avoiding potential complications.

Ablation of Osteoid Osteoma of femur Tumor Ablation
We perform thermal radiofrequency ablation (destruction) of tumors including osteoid osteomas (benign but painful tumors that affect adolescents and young adults). Most osteoid osteoma patients have complete resolution of symptoms after one week.

S1 Selective Epidural injection Lumbar Nerve Block/Facet Joint Injection
For diagnosis or treatment of lower back or radiating radicular pain.
