JMC Dean's Pilot Research Award
The Office of Research, Jefferson Medical College, is soliciting proposals for seed monies to support the development and submission of program grants by JMC faculty. The Dean will award funding to proposals based upon competitive review and recommendation by a committee chaired by the Vice Dean for Research.
The purpose of this funding mechanism is to provide seed monies for Program Working Groups to support the submission of NIH programmatic grants (e.g. P01, SPORE, training grants, U grants, Center grants). Research with the goal of translation to the clinic is encouraged. Awards up to $50,000 (direct costs only) will be considered.
All fulltime JMC faculty are eligible to apply.
Applications (see attached file) can be submitted at any time and will be considered on a rolling basis by the Dean’s Programmatic Research Award Committee.
Proposals of not more than two pages, formatted as a PDF, should be submitted to Andrea.Cherenack@jefferson.edu. The two page limit excludes biosketches and the Chair’s letter. Questions can be addressed to Ted Taraschi, (215) 503-5020, or at Theodore.Taraschi@jefferson.edu or Len Freedman (215) 955-6166, or at Leonard.Freedman@jefferson.edu.
