Dr. Mulholland is Chair Emeritus of Urology at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. For the past 30 years, he has been known for his interest and expertise in urologic oncology and urinary bladder antibacterial defense mechanisms including the roll of glycoproteins in antibacterial defense and interstitial cystitis general urology, including prostate disorders and urinary tract infection. He served as the 7th Chairman of the Department of Urology from 1978 to 2002. He is no longer in practice but serves the Department in a supportive role of education and philanthropy.
