The Bangladesh Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine & Research [BIUMR] is
and academic enterprise of the Bangladesh Society of Ultrasonography. The objectives
of the Institute are as follows:
- Establish and maintain academic and educational activities in Medical Ultrasonography.
- To conduct the training, course and other educational activities designed
to enhance the knowledge and research in Medical Ultrasonography.
- To encourage the research in Medical Ultrasonography.
- To establish, maintain and administer Certificate Courses, Postgraduate
Diplomas, Masters, Doctoral, etc.
- To materialize the academic activities envisaged by the Society.

Certificate in Clinical Ultrasonography, 12 weeks long program for the beginners.Diploma in Medical Ultrasound Diagnosis, 1 year long program in advanced ultrasound under the University of Science & Technology Chittagong.
