Program Description:
This one day didactic and evening hands-on course will explore current and developing applications of 3D/4D imaging and color Doppler techniques in obstetrics and gynecology. Recent developments in this technology are making 3D imaging an integral part of ultrasound scanning.
Course topics will include:
- Principles of volume acquisitions and analysis
- Clinical applications of 3D/4D imaging in Obstetrics/Gynecology
- Applications in fetal echocardiography
- Data reconstruction and storage options
- Demonstration of 3D/4D scanning techniques
- Clinical applications of 3D/4D imaging in Obstetrics/Gynecology
Educational Objectives:
After attending this course, the participant should be able to:
- describe the advantages and limitations of 3D/4D ultrasound in Ob/Gyn
applications
- discuss the principles of 3D/4D ultrasound, data reconstruction and storage
- evaluate the potential utility of 3D/4D ultrasound in the participants' own
practice
CME Credits and Tuition:
The program is approved for 8.5 hours of AMA Category I credit.
