Echocardiographic Imaging
This course begins with an introduction to the basic principles and images
of M-mode, 2-D, conventional and color flow Doppler echo. The course continues
with intermediate and advanced topics including assessment of the heart valves,
coronary artery disease and diseases of the aorta, assessment of prosthetic
valves, cardiac myopathies, masses, tumors and thrombi, and pediatric echocardiography.

Prostate Ultrasound
This video course provides an overview of established and recently developed
approaches to ultrasound of the prostate with a special emphasis on endorectal
scanning. The course incorporates a variety of clinical perspectives to complement
the basic information on physics, anatomy and pathology of the prostate gland. The
curriculum also covers issues of therapy and recent advances in technology
that are changing the landscape of prostate diagnosis and treatment.

Fetal Echocardiography
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the science and practice
of fetal echocardiography. The program covers the unique requirements of fetal
echo in the diagnosis of structural malformations of the heart and also covers
the use of pulsed, continuous wave, and color Doppler as well as M-mode in
fetal cardiovascular diagnosis. Findings from the ultrasonographic/Doppler
assessment of fetal cardiovascular physiology are related to the pre- and postnatal
management of congenital heart disease.

Transvaginal Ultrasound
This program is designed to address the needs of the physician or sonographer
who is experienced in Ob/Gyn sonography, but needs additional knowledge and
practice in the technique of vaginal scanning. Topics include physics and instrumentation,
an overview of GYN pathology, the role of Doppler in GYN ultrasound, sonohysterography,
evaluation of pelvic pain including ectopic pregnancy, normal and abnormal
first trimester pregnancy, and transvaginal/translabial ultrasound in the second
and third trimesters.
