Frederic Ross
Photographer

Fred Ross is the staff photographer for the Department of Radiology and Ultrasound for over 20 years. During that time he has provided photographic documentation for meetings, and other events such as graduation or award ceremonies. He serves the requirements of the faculty and staff by providing technical support when images are needed for publications, lectures, and the web. The shift from traditional film to digital based photography has taken Fred right along with it. Virtually all of the photos he took or worked with over the past year were digital. Along with Steve and Matt in the Radiology Media Center, Fred also assists in providing audio-visual support when needed for electronic presentations: “It’s very exciting to work in this (educational) environment today. The changes in technology are challenging but new tech offers new ways of doing things.”

Fred was born on Long Island NY and currently makes his home in Philadelphia with his wife Maria and daughter, Elysha.

When not on the job, Fred enjoys spending time with his family, preferably with a camera.
