Information for Researchers
Thomas Jefferson University is a leading center for health
sciences research with annual grant funding approaching
$100 million. Jefferson research encompasses:

Clinical trials, with over 100 trials in progress
at any given time.
New technologies & instruments, with over 200
active patents and 200 more pending.
New forms of non-drug therapy in areas such
as rehabilitation and senior care.
Basic sciences, including the Kimmel Cancer
Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated clinical
cancer center.
Health care policy and education. Jefferson's
Office of Health Policy is one of only 5 in the nation.
Jefferson observes the highest standards of safety and
ethics for both human and animal research, under the
careful watch of a strong Institutional Review Board
program.
The University actively supports entrepreneurial development
of new technologies and seeks partnerships with industry
through its Technology Transfer licensing programs.
Jefferson is also committed to training the next generation

The Jefferson College of Graduate Studies offers MS, PhD
and MD/PhD degrees in a variety of health-related fields.
