Goal: To examine interactions between the stress hormone CRF and serotonin (5-HT) in the dorsal raphe nucleus (DRN). Ultrastructural studies examining CRF afferents and their post-synaptic targets in DRN subregions are intended to elucidate the anatomical substrates involved in the regulation of the DRN-5-HT system by CRF.
