Spinal and Peripheral Nerve Disorders
TJUH - Neurosurgery - Spine

As a Level I Trauma Center and Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and the Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience treat more patients with disorders of the spine and spinal cord injury than any other program in the northeastern United States. Comprehensive evaluation and surgical management for spine problems is available and offers residents exposure to a panoply of surgical approaches, ranging from simple disc surgery to complex anterior and posterior reconstructive, instrumentation-based procedures. Furthermore, management of spine tumors and spinal cord injury is emphasized and complemented by a large clinical volume and a significant research initiative.
