The Adult-Gerontology: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner is prepared to assess and manage the full continuum of care services for the acutely and critically ill. The core knowledge provided in the specialty coursework is based on the full spectrum of high acuity patient care needs.

Adult-Gerontology: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program has met ANCC’s certification eligibility educational requirements. Students who complete this program, in its entirety, have the educational preparation to sit for the ANCC certification in this role and population. Applicants must also meet any additional eligibility criteria in effect when they apply for certification.
