Vision and Mission
The vision of Jefferson School of Nursing is to be among the nation’s premier educators of nurses, a leading innovator in the provision of quality health care, and a contributor to healthcare and educational research.
Our mission is to educate qualified, diverse individuals at the associate, baccalaureate, master, and doctoral levels for nursing practice. Our faculty is dedicated to:
- Educating professional nurses who will form and lead the integrated healthcare delivery and research teams of tomorrow;
- Discovering new knowledge that will define the future of clinical care through investigation from the laboratory to the bedside and into the community; and
- Setting the standard for quality, compassionate and efficient education and patient care for our community and for the nation.
We accomplish our vision and mission in an atmosphere of teaching excellence, scholarship and community service; and through collaboration with Jefferson School of Health Professions, Jefferson School of Pharmacy, Jefferson School of Population Health, Jefferson Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Jefferson Health System partners and other regional and state affiliates.
