LENNOX K. BLACK International Prize for Excellence in Medicine

The Prize features experts in the field of infectious disease, immunology and international health.  It is awarded biennially and recognizes the impact—either accomplished or potential—of pioneering biomedical research on the alleviation of human disease and suffering.  

One goal of The Prize is to draw the international scientific research community together in recognition of the ability of the spirit of human inquiry to transcend national boundaries and divisions.
