Expertise and Research Interests
Areas of clinical and research interests include the biology, diagnosis and treatment of melanoma, and the immunotherapy of bladder and prostate cancer. Melanoma therapies focus on the modulation of drug resistance with tamoxifen and immunotherapy studies are directed toward active specific immunization with whole cells and vaccinia virus recombinants. Both wild-type and recombinant vaccinia viruses are being used intravesically for treatment of bladder cancer. In conjunction with Cel-Sci-Corp, intraprostatic injection of mixed interleukins is being explored as a neoadjuvant therapy in patients with prostate cancer.
