Program Overview
The residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University consists of five years of progressive clinical training in all aspects of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery including head and neck oncology, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, otology, rhinology, laryngology, bronchoesophagology, and allergy. The otolaryngologic training is carried out under the supervision of the faculty of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and the Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children. The residency has the full approval of the Residency Review Committee. A strong focus is placed on patient care, surgical training and clinical competency. Each year features a graduated level of resident responsibility as the resident becomes increasingly proficient in caring for the broad spectrum of patients seen within Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
