NEUROPATHOLOGY
The Neuropathology division is directed by Mark Curtis, M.D., Ph.D. Lawrence Kenyon, M.D., Ph.D. serves as the co-director and with Dr. Curtis, constitute the Neuropathology staff. The Neuropathology rotation is one month in duration.
A daily conference is the heart of the rotation with active resident involvement in the signing out of current cases, review of past interesting cases, and didactic lectures presented by the attending staff. Residents are encouraged to attend clinical-pathologic conferences with the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery. Each resident is provided a list of recommended reading, which deals with various aspects of neuropathology.
Opportunities for research in collaboration with attending staff are available for extended rotations after mastering the basic components of Neuropathology during the initial one-month rotation.
