Jefferson School of Pharmacy
Prerequisites

To be considered for admission, it is desirable that the applicant have a cumulative GPA and a math-science GPA of at least 2.7 on a 4.0 scale. There is no minimum score requirement for the PCAT, but scores in the 70th percentile are considered competitive.

A minimum of 68 credits of specific prerequisite college coursework must be successfully completed prior to matriculation. Course grades lower than a C will not be accepted. All science and math courses must be completed within 5 years of admission to Jefferson. All science courses must include both lecture and lab.

1 8 credits of A&P I and II or 4 credits of Human Anatomy and 4 credits of Human Physiology. Labs must be included.

2 Algebra or Calculus-based.

3 Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science, Economics, Geography, History.

4 Languages, Literature, Philosophy, Religion, Arts.

Course Clarification: All science and math courses must be completed within FIVE years of application to Jefferson. (If you have courses that are greater than 5 years old, please contact the admissions office or Dr. Hess in the Jefferson School of Pharmacy.) Courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or above to be eligible for transfer. A grade of "C-" or below will not be eligible for transfer.
