BFACWith the Affordable Care Act now in place, understanding the value of costly interventions such as biologics are a key factor in decision-making for many stakeholders. In addition to demonstrating both efficacy and safety, biologic agents must maintain appropriate access and reimbursement from formulary committees and payers. A value-based approach to benefit designs may be one of many innovative options that could be employed to meet these needs. These challenges are the core focus of the Biologic Finance and Access Council (BFAC).
