Office of Public Relations
Each year, the Office of Public Relations generates news coverage for the university and the hospital, resulting in numerous media placements, and reaching an international audience. Thousands of press contacts are made annually.
Public Relations reaches the media through several news vehicles designed to communicate Jefferson's varied activities in the most effective format.
The Public Relations Office works routinely with news media that are in search of experts to interview for stories not generated by Jefferson news releases. Jefferson's reputation as an expert source willing to work with the news media and meet their deadlines, focuses much positive attention on hospital and university activities.
Public Relations has a media representative assigned to your specific area. To meet with your representative, suggest a news story or inquire about services, call 215-955-6300. Advance notice of important journal articles, research findings, new procedures and other possible news stories will allow the Public Relations Office to get the news to the media in the most efficient manner.
Ask Public Relations for media training, if you feel you need it. A representative is reachable at all times by pager. For after-hours and weekends, call (215) 955-6060.
