SODA DAY is an event to raise the awareness of the specific abbreviations and dose designations that are not to be used in the patient record. Eliminating the use of these abbreviations in the charts improves patient safety,

6:30 am to 8:30 am Gibbon 10 and 11th street lobbies

11 am to 1 pm Gibbon 10 and 11th street atriums

7 am to 8:30 am JHN lobby

11:30 am to 1 pm JHN lobby

WHO SHOULD ENTER: All health professional who document in the medical record.

HOW: Simply stop by our tables during the designated times, take the quiz and collect your soda. Anyone getting a score of 100% on the quiz, will be entered into a raffle for selected gift cards.

Calling All Type 2 Diabetics! We Want You... - (07/18/2008)

To participate in a compensated Clinical Research Study.

Who May Qualify:

• Type 2 diabetics over 18 years of age

• Type 2 diabetics who are on a stable dose of Metformin only or Metformin and one other oral medication like Glucotrol, Amaryl, Precose or Januvia (but NOT Actos or Avandia), for at least 3 months.

• Type 2 diabetics who have a recent HgBA1C between 6.5-10% (if you take Metformin only) OR 6.0-9.0% if you take Metformin and one other medication.

What You Get:

• You will be compensated for time and travel

• Diabetic testing supplies such as a glucometer, testing strips and lancets

• Diabetic education and counseling at no cost to you
