Body MRI
The Body MRI Fellowship is a dedicated one-year program for one fellow. It incorporates all aspects of body and cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (both clinical and research), including basic and advanced principles of MRI. Body parts covered include the chest, heart, breast, abdomen (including MR cholangiopancreatography), male and female pelvis, and all non-neuro vascular applications, including MR angiography (MRA). In- and out-patient services are active and the fellow will help plan protocols, monitor studies and provide appropriate diagnoses and consultations to the referring clinical services. The fellowship provides ample time and opportunity for active ongoing research related to magnetic resonance imaging. Jefferson operates twelve 1.5 Tesla MRI and two open MRI units, and two 3.0 Tesla whole body systems, all of which send images to our PACS system for filmless interpretation.
