PGY 1 year starts June 20th and ends June 19th of following year

PGY 2 through 5 start July 1 and ends June 30 of following year

Vacation
Per hospital policy, two weeks of vacation time is allotted during the intern year and is assigned. In addition, all interns have 2 weeks off between the first and second year. See calendar above.

For years PGY 2 and on, four weeks of elective vacation time, with certain restrictions, are allocated by a seniority system.
