Science Center QED Funding Program
In April 2009, Science Center launched the QED proof-of-concept funding program. The grants provide pre-seed funding for commercially promising technologies developed at regional universities. In the first round of funding, QED’s review panel assessed 73 proposals and selected 10 semi-finalists. Each semi-finalist worked with a business management team appointed by QED to create a business plan for the technology. Three projects were selected to receive $100,000 grants from Science Center with equivalent additional university matching.
