Patent Policy
The Patent Policy describes the ownership and requirement for assignment of intellectual property (IP) developed at TJU, the mechanism for reporting inventions to OTT, and OTT’s process for reviewing, seeking patent protection, and licensing TJU IP. In the event the TJU IP is licensed, the Patent Policy describes how the license revenue is distributed to the inventor candidate group, their respective departments, and the university. The Patent Policy also outlines the steps for addressing IP-related issues or disputes.

Equity Policy
(Policy on Equity Acceptance, Handling & Sale of Technology Licensing Arrangements)
The Equity Policy provides the guidelines for the acquisition and disbursement of stocks and proceeds when OTT licenses a TJU technology. OTT is authorized in certain licensing arrangements to accept equity as partial payment. In the event the stock becomes publicly traded, the process for liquidation of equity and distribution of the proceeds is detailed in the Equity Policy.
