How do I know where my course is being held?

Answer: You will receive a email confirmation that will tell you the course title, time, date and location.

What do I need to bring to the course?

Answer: It depends on the course you registered for. The email confirmation will list what is required for you to have.

Where can I purchase my required textbook for American Heart Association courses?

Answer: Under course forms is a list of vendors you can print out. The phone numbers and addresses are listed as well.

Where can I purchase a textbook for any other course?

Answer: The Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic course textbooks can be purchased in the campus bookstore. Please click the course forms tab under textbooks for further details.

What method of payments do you accept?

Answer: If you are an external course participant you are required to make payment using Pay Pal, which accepts Master Card and Visa only. No checks are accepted using Pay Pal.

How will I be notified if the class is cancelled due to inclement weather?

Answer: If the Philadelphia School system has closed, we are closed as well. You can also listen to 1060 for further details.

I lost my American Heart Association course completion card. How can I get a new one?

Answer: Easy. Just call our training center’s main number and provide your name, and the date you took the course. There is a $10.00 replacement card fee that needs to be paid for first.

What if I need to cancel my enrollment in a course?

Answer: Cancellations are accepted up to the one-hour before the course start time. If you do not cancel before the class start time you are ineligible for a refund if payment was made.

What if I am a hospital employee and cannot attend the class?

Answer: The same cancellation procedure applies. If you do not show up for a course your department will be inter-departmentally billed for the full amount.

If I am a hospital employee do I have to pay for the Instructor course     offerings?

Answer: Yes.The fee for Instructor courses needs to be paid in full prior to the         course date.

What if I am unable to register for a course using my campus key?

        (Applies to Hospital/Med students only)

Answer: Please call Information Systems. The training center cannot fix the  issue you are having. They will be able to assist you in determining what is the problem.

Do I need to be an Emergency Medical Technician to take the Paramedic course?

Answer: Yes you do. You must possess a Pennsylvania State Certification in order to be eligible. The certification must be valid and in good standing.
