Custom Training Programs At Your Facility

JeffSTAT will bring the instructors and training equipment to your facility for on-site training. On site training is more convenient for your employees, easier for your management team to monitor, and less intimidating for the participants. All you need to do is tell us the course desired, the dates desired, and the number of participants, and we will coordinate the rest. Textbooks and other educational materials will be delivered to your facility in advance of the course to help participants prepare for the training. Participants will receive their course completion cards on the last day of the course.

CPR Training

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the world. The American Heart Association estimates that approximately 220,000 people die from sudden cardiac arrest annually. Employees should be trained in CPR so they can help co-workers, customers, or bystanders in a cardiac emergency. JeffSTAT offers adult and pediatric CPR classes. All CPR training includes education on the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). The course is 8 hours in duration. Attendees will participate in interactive learning through lectures, demonstrations, and hands on practical training with the CPR mannequins.

First Aid Training

Many companies are training their personnel to provide basic first aid to co-workers or customers who become ill or injured in the workplace. Even in the best of circumstances, it can take emergency medical services personnel (EMS) in the community 10 -15 minutes to arrive at your facility. Emergency first aid can be rendered by your employees while they are waiting for the ambulance to arrive. The first aid training program consists of 8 hours of training, all in a one day training session. It includes training on how to manage the most common illnesses and injuries, such as heart attack, stroke, seizures, fractures, and bleeding. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to use basic medical equipment, such as bandages and splints and will practice rendering first aid to other course participants.

Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) Programs

The cause of cardiac arrest is most often a condition called ventricular fibrillation, a potentially lethal heart rhythm in which the heart has erratic electrical activity and cannot pump properly. Thanks to advances in technology, there is a new generation of equipment called automated external defibrillators (AED) that make it possible for lay people to administer defibrillation sooner than ambulance or hospital personnel. Today's AEDs are easy to use and inexpensive and can be found in public places around the world, including office buildings, airports, malls, stadiums, gyms, hotels, and other places in which large numbers of people gather or work. Having laypeople trained in CPR and AED use significantly improves survival rates for someone who experiences sudden cardiac arrest at your facility.

JeffSTAT is able to develop and maintain a PAD program at your facility. Our goal is to make the establishment of this program as simple for your organization as possible and to ensure the program is compliant with the standards of the American Heart Association. This will include a workplace assessment, development of an emergency response plan, physician medical direction, training, quality control, and equipment selection. Please contact us at (215) 955-7320 to schedule an on site consultation about this program.
