Course Name ECG & Pharmacology Course (ALS Provider)
Course Description

This 2 part course is designed to teach healthcare professionals the basic fundamentals of EKG interpretation. Although this course is intended to prepare participants to successfully complete an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provider course, participants may also take this course to improve their EKG interpretation skills. At the conclusion of part 1 of this course, participants will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the components of an EKG waveform and interpret the most commonly encountered cardiac arrhythmias.

Part 2 of this course will cover Basic ACLS drugs, doses, and routes of administration during CV emergencies. Special cautions, considerations, contraindications, and mechanismsof 13 commonly utilized medications will be discussed.

This is a 6 hour course excluding breaks.

Prerequisites

This course is for ALS providers only. Paramedic students and nursing students are welcome to attend.

EMT's and BLS providers should register for ACLS-B and/or B

Refund Policy

Non-Jefferson Employees

  • Course participants will be issued a refund only if they cancel within 24 hours prior to the course start time.
  • Any course participant who shows up more than 15 minutes late to the course and is denied entry will not be issued a refund.
  • Course participants who do not show up for the course will not be issued a refund.
